Khadijah is the first wife of muhammad. She was also the first women to follow the religion of Islam.
She is widely known as the first person to convert to Islam. According to the prophet, she was one of the four greatest women among the earth. The year she died, (64 or 68), was known as the year of sorrow because it caused muhammad devistation.
