The Renaissance - Mr. Thomas' World History Class
The Renaissance was a cultural movement that began in 14th century Italy and spread into most of Europe by the 17th century. As people began to break away from the teachings of the Catholic Church and fall back on many Greek teachings and topics, the main focuses of the Renaissance were humanism, science, philosophy, math, and expression of strong emotions. The Renaissance may have very well paved the way for the Protestant Reformation, Scientific Revolution, and Age of Reason.
