The Protestant Reformation started with Martin Luther in Europe in 1517. Christians were horrified by the false teachings and the way they hired church positions. they wanted to reform the Catholic Church. Within the Protestant Reformation many different denominations came to be. In 1517 Martin Luther posted the Ninety-Five Theses on the doors of the Catholic Church and it all began with him breaking off from the Church.
