Ostrogoths

The Ostrogoths established a state in Italy and neighboring areas, lasting from 493 to 553. They reached their height under their first king, Theodoric the Great. The kingdom began to fall when the Roman Empire attacked Italy. They could not hold them off, and the state began to fall. The last king of the Ostrogoths was Teia. The Ostrogoths were one branch of the Germanic Goth tribe.
