Osama Bin Laden

Osama Bin Laden was born March 10, 1957. He is responsible for the founding of the terrorist group known as Al Qaeda. The same group responsible for the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Towers on September 11, 2001. Since 2001 Al Qaeda has been a major target of the United States' War on Terror. Bin Laden and his followers are believed to be hiding in the mountains on the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Osama was raised a devout Sunni Muslim. At 17 he married Najwa Ghanem, but as of 2002 it is said that Bin Laden has married 4 wives and has fathered anywhere from 12 tp 26 children. Bin Laden believes that the restoration of the Sharia Law will set things right in the muslim world. Bin Laden is heavily opposed to pan-Arabism, socialism, communism, and democracy. Bin Laden believes that Afghanistan under the rule of Mullah Omar's Talian was the "only Islamic country" in the Muslim world.
