Moses
Although many claims about Moses are disputed, his biblical telling is as follows:Moses was religious leader who led the Jews out of Egypt through the Red Sea. He was commanded to do this by God after the plagues of Egypt. The authorship of the Torah is attributed to him, making him a very important prophet in Islam and Christianity.
Moses was called by God to lead the Jews through the desert for approximately 40 years to thePromised Land (present-day Israel). He also went up Mount Zion to receive the Ten Commandments straight from the Jewish deity. God supposedly revealed himself to Moses through a burning bush that was not consumed by the fire.
