CaravelThis is a featured page

During the 15th century the Portuguese and Spanish used caravels for their voyages. A caravel is a two-to-three masted ship that is small, fast, and easilymaneuverable. The caravel was invented around the 13th century by Andalusia explorers, which is an area around the Arabian Peninsula governed by Muslims. The invention of this smaller ship also allowed them to travel through shallow waters.
